Mensa and Cafés on Campus

The Mensa is close to the MPI for Software Systems; just across the street. See here for a map of the campus of RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau in Kaiserslautern.

The Mensa offers lunch from Monday to Friday. In the Mensaria “Atrium”, you can have breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday. During the semester, they also serve dinner.

There are different categories of food:

At counters 1 and 2, you can choose a meal with a side salad. There is always one vegetarian option. These counters are open every day.

At the Wok counter, you can get a single plate for which you pay per weight. It is open Monday to Thursday.

The Grill (barbecue) counter offers grilled meals that are slightly more expensive. It is open Monday to Thursday.

From Monday to Thursday, there are also additional buffet counters where you can get pasta, vegetables, salads, and a low-fat dish. They are all charged by weight.

The easiest way to pay in the Mensa is to use your student ID card, which you can charge with money at machines located in the Mensa building.
